Join Our Flagship Riverina Cropping Operation
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on farm hand to join our flagship sheep and cropping aggregation in the Riverina. With on-farm accommodation and meal allowances provided, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, on-the-groundwork and wants to build a solid future with a well-established pastoral business.
The Opportunity:
This hands-on role is part of a well-established sheep and cropping operation in the Riverina. You’ll be involved in all stages of the cropping program, from ground preparation and planting through to harvest.
The position suits someone who enjoys operating machinery, working outdoors and being part of a hardworking team. It’s a practical role with variety across the seasons and responsibility across day-to-day farm operations.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Operate machinery and equipment for planting, tillage, cultivation, spraying and harvesting.
- Plant and maintain crops to high standards, following industry, employer, and Environmental Management Plan requirements.
- Take part in harvest operations using tractors, headers, forklifts, hand tools, and other farm equipment.
- Carry out irrigation work safely, including operating and monitoring pivots, and participate in planning crop and pasture improvements.
- Assist with coordinating planting and harvest activities, including shift work during busy periods such as night planting.
About You
You’re an experienced machinery operator who takes pride in doing a job properly and looking after your gear. You’re organised, can work on your own when needed and don’t have to be chased to get things done. Most importantly, you’re reliable, practical and happy to jump in wherever required to back up the team and keep things moving.
- Proven experience operating farm machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks without close supervision.
- Proactive, flexible attitude with willingness to take on a variety of farm duties.
- Reliable and team-focused, with mechanical aptitude and an HR licence highly regarded.
