The NSW State Safety Manager role will be responsible for our NSW operations across the Riverina, Broken Hill and Bylong areas.

In this role, you will:
Coach leaders to own safety and build capability across stations and plants
Drive real-world safety practices – from incident response to risk control
Audit and activate the core safety system across sites
Embed safety into regional projects and contractor oversight
Lead emergency readiness, high-risk works, and site compliance
Be the go-to advisor for WHS strategy, trends, and practical implementation

What You’ll Bring

🔹 Proven Experience
• 5–10+ years in operational safety roles across high-risk industries
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and contractor oversight
• WHS qualifications – Cert IV or Diploma (minimum)

🔹 Leadership That Lands
• A hands-on leader who builds safety ownership at the ground level
• Confident in incident response, coaching in the field, and driving system use
• Skilled in approving high-risk work and implementing WHS plans on-site

• Practical, grounded, and respected by frontline teams
• Visible, calm, and composed in high-pressure environments
• Walks the talk when it comes to integrity, responsibility, and authenticity

🔹 Field Fit
Comfortable travelling across multiple stations (this role will look after our NSW operations, traveling around the Riverina, Broken Hill area and Bylong)

• Adapts easily to remote environments and connects well with local teams
