This is an exciting opportunity to join team Hewitt in a Station Hand position.
This opportunity is perfect for an individual seeking a career in a challenging yet rewarding environment, working amongst a highly professional, industry leading team. The role will be based at our Blue-Ribbon Riverina property, Brewarrana. Brewarrana is 8,000 acres of productive farming and grazing land bordered by the Murrumbidgee River and is located just 30 minutes from Wagga Wagga.
This role presents the opportunity to live on-site and immerse yourself in the business. Reporting directly to Station Management, you will be a strong communicator, a driven and committed team player who is focused on progressing their career.
What can you expect day-to-day?
- General farm duties & maintenance.
- Operation of modern farming machinery for pasture & crop production.
- Operation & maintenance of irrigation infrastructure for pasture management.
- Stock work including drenching, yard work & mustering of sheep.
- Fencing & stock water maintenance.
Qualifications:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Passion, enthusiasm & a willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to communicate & work well in a small team and also independently.
- Excellent problem solving & time management skills.
- Experience with farm machinery including tractors & implements.
- Experience handling livestock.
